Canadian University Triathlon Championships 2003

Canadian University Triathlon Championships 2003

The first Canadian University Triathlon Championships will be held in Montreal on September 13, 2003. The organizers of the Triathlon de Montreal will host our Championships on the World Class site of Parc Jean-Drapeau. The swim is in the filtered Olympic Rowing Basin, site of the 1976 Olympic Rowing events. The cycle segment is on the Formule 1 Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, which has the best road surface in North America. These facilities are unique in Canada and will raise the level of competition for the athletes. For more information and race applications, visit the official website of the Canadian University Triathlon Championships at www.esprittriathlon.com . The Championships will be the Olympic Distance: swim 1500 meters, cycle 40 km (drafting is legal) and run 10Km. We are hosting an individual Canadian University Champion and a University Team/School Championships. The five (5) best times in a category from a University will establish the listing of the top 10 Canadian Universities in Triathlon.

The University of Sherbrooke Triathlon Club, Vert et Or, is the host for the first Canadian University Triathlon Championships. We invite all Canadian University student/triathletes to participate and make this Championship an important event on the CIS calendar.

We invite you to visit the website of the Vert et Or from University of Sherbrooke at: www.usherbrooke.ca/aller/triathlon . Please send us your triathlon club information so that we can list your University’s participation in the Canadian University Triathlon championships, profiles of your traithletes and information on your triathlon club.

See you in Montreal on September 13th.
